Biography
Grace Li's practice focuses on (a) PRC lending and structured finance transactions and related regulatory advice in China, and (b) structured aircraft financing and leasing transactions.
She has rich experiences in working with international banks and other types of financial institution in relation to their general business operations in China. She also has extensive experiences in advising and acting for banks, leasing companies and airlines in aircraft related matters, including sale and purchase, financing and leasing, in PRC and other jurisdictions.
Representative Legal Matters
- Acting as retainer counsel of China Construction Bank head office for banking related advisory services / financial service.
- Acting as retainer counsel of Ping An Bank head office for banking related advisory services / financial service.
- Advised consortium of over 10 banks in the financing for CMOC Brasil Mineracao PXF project of a Brazilian mining company. This project was awarded the China Business Law Journal "2022 Deals of the Year".
- Advised for a chemical industry magnate in relation to the largest domestic project financing consortium project in recent years. It’s the NDRC’s national key project.
- Advised for international consortium led by Minsheng Bank to finance the expansion project of Trina Solar Vietnam factory. It is a complex structured finance completed by overseas banks led by domestic banks which rarely seen in the market.
- Advised for Citibank on the cross border loan project involving logistics warehouses in over ten cities in China.
- Advised for SPD Bank in relation to a merger and acquisition project of a European company. This project involving collateral from multiple European countries.
- Advised for Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Asia in providing a loan provided to Juneyao Airlines, which was used to acquire H-shares of a large company.
- Advised for Jin Jiang Hotel Group in the acquisition loan for its acquisition of Radisson Hotel Group from HNA Group with ICBC as lender.
- Invited by Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (“APLMA”) (APLMA), prepared the sample letter of intent and relevant guidelines for China's financing in the Asia Pacific market.
