Biography

Sufi Shang is a partner in the Shanghai office of FenXun Partners and a member of the firm's Employment and Labor Group. Her practice covers a wide range of labor and employment matters in China, with a special focus on labor arbitration and litigation. Ms. Shang has handled many complex labor arbitration and litigation matters with satisfactory results.

Representative Legal Matters

  • Advised the Chinese subsidiaries of a Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company on daily employment issues and representing the companies in the labor arbitrations and litigations.
  • Advised the Chinese subsidiary of a world's famous German automobile parts supplier, a US listed chemicals manufacture company and a US listed software company on its compliance investigation and representing the companies in the labor arbitration and litigation processes.
  • Advised a world's leading group of hotels & resorts, a PRC state-owned bank and a German energy company on its employees collective transfer projects in China.
  • Advised various companies in the industry of luxury goods, pharmaceuticals, manufacture, telecommunication, bank, retail, service and private education on their employment related matters, including labor disputes, employment termination, performance appraisal, compensation and benefits, non-competition, unfair competition, medical period treatment, work-related injury, etc.
  • Advised a large Singapore-based company on employee criminal investigations and related criminal procedures.
  • Advised various companies on their mass layoff projects, providing on-site legal support and negotiating with the involved employees.
  • Advised various companies on employment due diligence investigations in various M&A projects.
  • Advised several manufacture and retail companies on employees' work-related injuries matters.
